All right, so this one breaks the rules a little bit. It’s full motion (not stills pulled from Google Images) but I defy you to tell me it’s any less inspirational than the other tribute montages to David Caruso that people have taken the time to put together and upload to YouTube that I have then posted to this tumblelog.
Today was shoot day 8 of 11 in a row. We shot a scene with a young chimp named Louie and damned if he wasn’t the friendliest, most well-behaved animal I have ever met. Really, it was like playing with the world’s coolest kid. I have video of me letting him jump up and down on my back and giddly tickling him like a jerk while people around me did their jobs and set up lights. I would post it but I’m afraid it would be in violation of this blog’s charter.
Tomorrow is the craziest day Human Giant has ever attempted. We take over a prison in Brooklyn and fill it with kids and fake prisoners. There’s rioting. There’s guest appearances by friends like Bill Hader, Matt Walsh, Andy Samberg and young fan-favorite Bobb’e J Thompson. There’s a crazy fight scene, prosthetic make-up effects, dolly shots - we’re blowing it out on this one. Here’s to hoping it goes good!
